Hi. My 1st post. I tried the search function, but couldn't find a precise answer. I am new to GSM and recently got a T62u with Cingular in the U.S. I would like to know if there is a way to view Field Test network data with this or other S.E. GSM phones. I can use the 904090> code while on TDMA, but can't see any data when on GSM. I know about the >*<<*<* code, but those menus don't access Field Test. What do other S.E. GSM phones use to access Field Test? Thanks.

I found my answer. A switch in the eeprom has to be set 'on'. Not easily done.

Can you describe how it's done? I am very interested.

Hello;

Could you indicate in this thread how to do that mframe? And I was wondering if that would work on a t68 also? Thanks

I have enabled it on my old T68. Its nowhere near as detailed as the ones on Nokia phones.
To do so you'll need to use the Multiserver software and service (you have to buy a credit though) here:

http://www.totalmultiserver.com

and the relevent T68 GDFS file, which I have.

This may or may not work on other SE models...

Sorry folks, I have been away from the forums for some time. The description I finally tracked down was too complicated for me to bother with.

In addition to the solution given by the previous poster, one can also use a terminator dongle and software (not too expensive, on e-Bay). Even though the software does not list the T62u by name, there is an option to enable Field Test for any phone. Also, I read that the T62u can be unlocked using the T300 selection.

I enabled Field Test on a T226, but as previously stated, there were only about 4 screens displayed, with not very informative data.
