Hey i was thinking: your t68 has a soundrecorder where you can put 1800 sec. of sound, that's a half hour. To put something in you can use your build-in microphone but you can also use a earset (for example HPB-10) where you use the microphone of the headset.
Now: why just don't take the cable from the microphone in the earset, disconnect the microphone and take the cable that is normally connected to the microphone's system. That cable, you connect it to a stereo-out cable that is used to connect a earset to for example a walk man. plug the cable in your walkman and let it play while your t68i is recording. what do you think? anyone ever tried? i'll try it with some cheap earset.
the essential thing is that you just replace the microphone of the earset by your... walkman

but its voice quality meaning it records only on a range of frequencies meant for voice. so the playback is really bad, plus it will pick up some background noise.

Did it on a very old phone of mine. It works but tbh, there isn't much point - you might as well spend £20 on an IR dongle and transfer it to your PC.

no... i don't mean take your micro and start to record... i mean that you connect your line-in of your t68i to the line-out of your walkman are cd-player. you won't get background-noise as there is no! and sending music through IrDa is impossible as the t68i doesn't recognize it.
you know what i mean? just take a cable connected to your cd-player or walkman and plug it in your phone's line-in (the one that is ment for the microphone of the hands-free set)
it think it should work fine, with mono-sound. but you'd be able to here music from your earphone. i'm just trying to figger out which cable in the HPB-10 is the microphone cable

It will be awfull quality. If you really want to listen to music then I would suggest you get the MP3 attachement or the HPR-20 stereo radio.

the new mp3 accessory is pretty cool designed, its not yet available in singapore. hope it won't be too expensive and the battery life should be long enough.

Just convert your music files to the amr-format and send it to your phone. I think there're several posts how to convert something into amr.

The microfone of a headset is a condensator mic. It needs energy to function. That is not the same as a dynamic microphone...
The line in from your walkman of something else, is a other type of signal then the microphone... You will have a very bad quality, because the energy of the phone disturbs the line-in signal.
I don't speak that good english, so I hope I could make myself clear
