Now that the weather is warming up, my girlfriend and I went out to a theme park just the other day and rode on a couple of rides.

Well, we went on this one ride called the Sizzler, also known as the Scrambler and who knows what else. This ride spins around mainly, and as a result, the G-forces create a lot of pressure on the right side of the seat that you're situated in, but even more pressure is added on top of that due to the fact that these forces cause whoever is sitting on your left side to smash up against you. Well, I had my brand new P800 clipped to my belt on my right side, and after the ride started, all of these forces were pressing my body up against the right side of the seat, sandwiching my P800 in between and placing ENORMOUS pressure on my phone. The ride creates so much force, that I couldn't slide myself over to the left in order to remove my phone from my belt while we were in motion.

I was freaked to say the least, thinking that once the ride was over, I'd discover my phone was crushed or that the screen was cracked. The whole time during the ride, I was fighting with all my strength to take as much pressure off of my phone as I could, but to little avail. When we stepped off from the ride, I was nervous to say the least as I checked my phone's condition. I discovered that the button pegs on the backside of the flip had pressed so hard up against the screen, that there were indentations on the screen from where the button's pegs had damaged it. But then I remembered that I had installed a WriteSHIELD to my phone's screen. When I peeled it off, it seemed as if the pressure from the ride had caused the button pegs on the backside of the flip to puncture through the WriteSHIELD and damage the screen itself, but luckily, I was wrong. I saw only some shavings from the WriteSHIELD on the screen. Once I wiped these away with my finger, I saw that my phone's screen was in PERFECT shape. Everything was fine!!!

I don't work for the company that makes these screen protectors, but I'm telling everybody how necessary these can be. If I hadn't had one of these installed, my screen would've been destroyed. These things are a life saver!

Moral of the story? Get some WriteSHIELDS for your P800 whatever you do, and NEVER ride this ride or any other similar ride with your phone on your side. Without a doubt, I learned my lesson.

Where can we buy it then? And how does it feel when you write with it, like is it smooth or more rough? Do you have to press harder to write etc?

Very Lucky!
I think the moral is leave your phone with a friend if you go no any of these rides. With a smaller phone is might be okay in your pocket. But the p800 should be looked after much more than a blockia

I bought mine from Expansys for around $40. PPC Techs are the ones who make them. I'm sure many other places sell them as well.

Learning to install them for the first time caused me to damage the first one, but that's not a big deal. The kit comes with three and you don't have to change them for quite some time.

I've discovered that they have a bit of a "tooth", but not much of one. This is nice, though, because although they don't feel like glass, it feels a bit more like paper - not exactly, of course, but somewhat similar - just a bit smoother. It's a nice feel. You don't have to press harder at all to write or tap.

A worthwhile investment. And yes, I'm sure luck may have played some part in this, but the WriteSHIELDS without a doubt did their part!

Martin Overlay you mean? Posters on esato said it's brilliant compare to others but I'm using Brando, so I've no comment but I don't like my Brando due to the size factor. It does not cover the P800 screen completely. There's about 5mm extra uncovered space at the bottom.
