Hi All,

I have had around 5 SE mobile phones, and on each one found little quirks about setting up the mail client side of things.

Now, i don't mean this to be advertising, but some good information.

The search for a e-mail provider that worked flawlessly with my mobiles was a hard one, but i think i have found the perfect partner.

www.xmbox.com provide the following, which i find most useful.

Support Staff that are realy helpfull when it comes to setting up mobile/pda devices.
IMAP/POP and SMTP connections.
Wapmail (coming very soon - i was a beta tester)
DNS servers (if you need them for your mobile setup)
20mb accounts
...and a load of the usual stuff e-mail providers have.

Oh, and its free (which is always good)

Their server details are:

Website: http://www.xmbox.com
POP/IMAP Address: mail.xmbox.com 80.68.47.10
SMTP Address: mail.xmbox.com 80.68.47.10
DNS Server To Use: 80.68.47.10

It works great on my T610, let me know what you think.

Thanks.. I signed up at xmbox.com. I am sick and tired of getting warning from Yahoo! on exceeding my 4MB limits... This account has 20MB limit.. Just what I am looking for.. Plus, it is easy to configure on my T68i

I can't get my mail to work! I tried xmbox and your settings. But my phone can't find the server.. I've also tried nameplanet and yahoo mail, but it never finds the server. Any suggestions?

I cant understand why you are suggesting that this will work better with mobile phones than other email providers.
Any pop email package can be accessed via your phone, you dont need a special email package.

I agree that it looks like a very good deal, but it isn't any better for use with phones.

phil n. is right. and i'd like to add that it's not only POP, but IMAP as well.
