> Connecting with Java MSN and Orange
Bookmark topic
I'm having trouble connecting with Java MSN on Orange. I have tried the WAP connection and the GPRS connection but with both I get an error saying unable to connect to the network.
I can connect fine when using my pc's connection through the cradle.
I think that I might have a problem with my GPRS connection in general, what's the best way of testing that? trying opera with GPRS?
I'd appreciate any help!!

You using a proxy with Orange? Here in France Orange has something called 'booster' which is a net proxy that speeds things up. It's sometimes flakey and will block IMing.
I saw on this forum that Orange UK is having trouble with its GPRS infrastructure. If you're in UK, this could be the problem.
Otherwise, just try another app with gprs - opera, SE internet, your email...
The jmsn prog is quite good - liking it better than 12planet. More stable, faster, has tabbed windows and file transfer - an excellent addition.

I think my GPRS has just decided not to work. I keep getting an "Activation Rejected" error. Time to call Orange I think.
