> i found a t68

in a nightclub, no SIM, pretty badly scratched
so obviously i took it to the police
but if it's unclaimed after 6 weeks I get to keep it!
had a little play with it, is has tetris and bluetooth and stuff, but tried an orange SIM card in it and it said SIM error - is this a blocked phone, broken SIM reader or what?

first of all it's a pretty old t68... since tetris only came with the first version of it.
and it's probably sim-locked, although there are plenty of people here that could help you with unlocking it...
good on you... t68 is a great phone.... although i just stashed it for my t610.

I was skiing in Val d'Isere in February and as I was going down the slope with my friend he noticed a T68i.... It was turned off and in pretty good condition. He put in his SIM, it wasn't locked and he could use it. He took it to the cops and asked what he should do, they told him to keep it
About your SIM problem, i have no clue, could be locked phone

So in theory, with a brand new fascia, and software upgraded to t68i (this is possible, right?) it's a really decent phone, so i might keep it or sell it.
But can anyone confirm that the "SIM error" on the display where it normally says the network operator means that there is a problem with the SIM card or the reader, or is the phone blocked? Cheers!

Sim error is more likely to be a dodgy reader or sim locked to a network. A blocked moble usally displays "invalid mobile".

I lost my T68i at a nightclub not too long ago, but whoever found it never turned it in to the police or back to the Garden of Eden. And now I'm S.O.L. because I can only get a crappy phone to replace it
