Hey,

I just picked this baby up, the guy in the store said 8-10 hours for first charge. A friend of mine said 24 hours. I did a search on these forums and I see that 4 hours should be enough.

What is it?

Lars, are you saying that after 4 hours it cuts off, or just keep going until it cuts off? How will I know that it has cut off if the screen turns off while charging? Does the red light go out?

Also I was told by the salesman no more than 3 hours of charging a day. Advice on that?

Thanks!

se phones has a clever circuit that breaks off the charging process once its done with recharging the battery, your power from the adapter/charger may be turned on still. it will just stop feeding power to your phone.

Okay then, after 4 hours when it displays Charge Complete, I will disconnect it and have no worries bout shortening the lifetime of the battery.

thanks!

T610 doesn't have this feature from the T68i

I think you are confused a bit here Lars? No one was talking of optimised charging!

I answered two questions in my reply...

The first was regarding initial charge time where I commented on what the manual says.

The second was in response to where you find the hours of Standyby and Talk Time on the T610. On the T68i you slide the volume button up or down in standby mode and it shows you this on the Status screen.

On the T610 to see the status you press the + or - button on the side when in standby mode.

The T610 does not show you these Standby and Talktime values.

...and yes... I have a T610 thanks! no need to be rude even if I was wrong!

(Still looking for the Abyss blue as my second one though if anyone has seen that yet!)
