Firstly, I just wanted to know how long you guys get your batteries to last, I know some of us (including me) will have been on the dam thing all day wearing it out on mobile assault ect, but i'm having trouble getting a good 24 hours out of it! Is this because I got mine pre owned and the user before has knackered it or is this normal for such a large display phone?!
The other thing is the browser that comes with the phone - does it support Html through WAP settings? (wap is free for me on o2) I can't get it to read my website on it. Guess I have to stick with good ol' trusty Oprea
Cheers

Well, if you play something as CPU-intensive as Strategic assault all day, you'll be keeping your screen on, your backlights on, your CPU high...
If you get 24 hours out of it, that's damn good for a phone with a screen that big.
As for your site, does it use frames? If yes, you'll need to use Opera.

Yes it does.... Does your provider allow you to browse html over wap?

Keep it simple - Javascript could also be one of the problems. The internal browser supports HTML, cHTML and WML so there shouldnt be any probs with a "simple" website.
Set your APN properly to use GPRS and everything should be fine. Ask your operator to send you an OTA (over the air) configuration with all settings for WAP, MMS and GPRS and you should be fine.

Hehe its not that simple.theres no such thing asa html over wap! Its like sayin cmda over gsm! Hah so in a few terms, wapgateway is set up to recognise wml only. U want html?u gotta pay4THAT gprs.

Java is CERTAINLY a problem - i sometimes forget to turn off games like AceTris and QuickTimer and they completely EAT the battery for lunch.
I can easily get 2-3 days on a charge, with liberal use of the phone, Bluetooth and GPRS on always, and the occasional few games of Solitare in the toilet. Leave AceTris on and the damn things dead in half-a-day.
