Everytime you get a voicemail it gets stored in your voicemail box and unlike other networks you dont get a message displayed on screen stating that you have voicemail but after every few minutes the damn voicemail service keeps calling you!!!!!!
It will keep calling you unless you pick the fu ckin thing up!
My voicemail costs me at airtime rate to listen to and i prefer checking my voicemail after 7pm when its free but i cant coz i keep getting called by voicemail automaticaly every few minutes.
This is obviously a ploy to generate income by singlepoint but can anyone advise of how not to keep on getting called by voicemail automaticaly?

I've tried all voicemail setting but there is nothing in the menu's

In worse case if noone can help you you could put it on ignore
ie. personal ringtone with no sound/no vibrate in it.

Am I missing something here? Why don't you just change your voicemail alert to a text message??

I am on Vodafone with Singlepoint, I receive a single text message whenever I receive new voicemail.

Yeah, you always used to be able to do this? Cant check though though because I am not a singlepoint customer anymore.

Thats a standard feature of Vodafones voicemail service.

There is DEFINATELY an option in the menus to turn it off, as I did it with mine. Left my phone at home one day and someone left me a VM, and came home to 75 missed calls

If you still can't find the menu option, phone Singlepoint and ask them to turn the feature off.

For vodafone users on Singlepoint, you need to do the following (I'm fairly sure this is the same for all vodafone consumers). The process I followed was :

Turn off my mobile and call it from another phone (of course, you can do this directly from your handset, but I've got my phone on charge across the room at the moment!)

When my personal greeting plays, press *

Enter my mailbox PIN number

Press 4 for mailbox settings

Press 3 for message notifcations then press :
2 for text alerts
3 for alert and deliver
4 for voice alert

You only get one message. And if you want to test it, why not call from your landline and leave a message?
