In the menu connect--sms acces of my t68i, there are 2 possibilities: GSM and GPRS. GPRS doesn't work for sending sms. why? What are the possible benefits of sending your sms by GPRS instead of GSM

Thanx

I can only think of disadvantages - price.

You can save money with sms over gprs. But not all the networks allow this. This message was posted from a R520

Ah, I wasn't thinking - In my position where I get free sms's it would be more expensive for me to connect via GPRS.

I'm not sure how you can save money by sending SMS by GPRS but the only advantage I've seen so far is that you send the message more quickly to the SMSC compared to just using GSM.

Our SP doesn't care whether we send the SMS via GSM or GPRS, they still charge us the same amount for each 160-char message
