I was just syncing my calendar & tasks with Outlook and now all I have is a light blue screen with an hour glass. The screen turns off as if in sleep mode but then lights up again about 1s after. I tried taking teh battery and battery+sim out and I still have the same screen when I turn it on.

Is there another way to reset the phone? I obviously can't get to the menus to do a reset. thanks!

i got this once before when a java game loads too long. i can't switch it off, so i took the batt out too. after putting back, started the phone, it also shows the hourglass. so i just wait, and after a while, a minutes or so, its okay, the phone started and everything went normal.

You shove the battery in, turn it on and leave it. Sounds exactly like it's just done a master reset - after that, the phone just displays a blank screen + an hourglass in the middle for upto 5minutes+ (don't really know total time, left it and came back).

Be patient! After it's sat there for half an hour turned on, come back and we'll think of something else!

Yes, it's buggered! &*%@&^$#%^@#$(%^(@#%(&%^#$&^%$(#$^%$%$&^@#%$@^#(@#%@%^$&^$%(^!@#$$#

I'm sending it back to expansys and hopefully I'll have the new one tomorrow.

SE was not able to help and said to return it to where I bought it from or send it in to them so see if they could fix it. No ETA was given, so I just bought a new one and will get a credit when they get my old one.

Now the real problem. How to live without a phone for 24 hours!

for you chaps who had this happen, was your screen flashing on and off or was it on solid?

It's been about 20 mins and it's still the same. That's a bloody long reset if you ask me!
