> can someone explain SIM/online services please?

in the last 2 years a lot of phones are having SIM/online services but they are network dependent or SIM dependent? so can someone give me an example of what you get if your network/SIM supports it? and what are some networks that do have them? can be anywhere in the world.

They are network dependent (since your sim card only gives you access to the network). The O2 Active servcie (for example) gives you access to downloadable ringtones/games/pics e.t.c. It is basically a way to try and attract more customers.
