For those that don't understand swedish, Htc, the company that makes SPV, is going to build snartphones and Pocket pc:ss on hardware and software for EDGE and 3G from Ericsson Mobile Platforms. Htc says that they are verry pleasd and that the deal will allow them to get good and stable products on the market fast.

Something I don't understand... Why HTC sign contract with Ericsson and not Sony Ericsson? Ericsson is now a manufacturer of network equipments and no more of mobile phone hardware, no?

Wrong! Sony Ericsson license their platforms from Ericsson Mobile Platforms. You can read about EMP here:

Other companys that build phones on EMP is LG and Microcell for Siemens.
