my phonebook memory says 231(510)
and simcard memory says 200(201)

does this mean I have 431 numbers in my phone?? that is just not possible.. I had 200 numbers in the simcard when I got the T68i and I have maybe gotten like 30 numbers more since then!

I dont understand this memory thing.. is it some kind of bug?

And i have also read that when I get the SW upgrade, all entries in phonebook will get lost! So how do I know if the 200 numbers I had are in the sim or in the phonebook, when i choose copy all to sim, I get warned that all numbers in sim will get deleted, so I dont know what to do.. I dont want to loose any of my numbers when the SW upgrade comes.

I had the same problem.
You have the same nummer in the sim as in the phone. You can delete the nummbers in the phone or in the sim it doesn´t mattter but it is easier to dial them from the phone memory.

when you got the phone you probably copied all the numbers in the sim to the phone. 231 - 200 = 31; 31 new numbers. you will have a problem when you upgrade the phone becourse, as you say, your simcard only take 201 numbers... you have to syncronise with outlook or something like that.

@skjalg

T68 requires you to use your phonebook memory, which is seperate to your sim card. When you go to your phonebook, the entries here are in the phones memory, not including the numbers in the sim card. So duplicate thing wont exist. Of course you can still access the entries in your sim but mostly you'll use the phonebook entries which resides in the phone memory.

The function 'Copy all to sim' will copy all entries in the phonebook memory (phone memory) to your sim card, take note that it will delete every entries in the sim before it copies all the numbers coming from the phone memory. Some sort of sychorization between the phone memory and the sim card.

Hope it helps...

@skjalg, the entries won't show twice since T68 only allows you to browse one set at a time, i.e., either the phonebook OR SIM but not both.

you can copy memory phone to the sim, the thing is that you can store more than one number for each contact in the phone.

if you copy the phone memory tto the sim, how does it copy contacts with more than one number? only one nunmber? which one?

regards,
pxus
