Well when u recieve an MMS it downloads it thru a GPRS MMS connection.
I kinda had the same idea that they mite charge u to d/l per kb the message but never really looked in2 it.
Would be interesting 2 know

Hi there guy's. Not sure about o2, but it's absolutely free to recieve mms on t-mobile. Plus they have just launched a new gprs package of 100mb per month for ONLY 10gpb-you won't fine it coz cheaper!

As far as I am aware Orange do not charge to receive just send. It is supposed to be the same as SMS.

If you sign up for NowMMS then you *are* charged for both receiving and sending MMS albeit at your standard WAP rate (which normally works out a lot cheaper than your network's full MMS rate). The NowMMS service itself is completely free and works crossnetwork too. In theory they send you MMS adverts once in a while but I haven't received a single one yet.
