I had two numbers for a contact one of which was assigned as one of the entries in my speed dial list. I deleted the assigned number from the contact and when I returned to the speed dial list the entry had gone back to it's empty state. That was fine, I wanted to re-assign it anyway. The trouble is that now it wont let me assign any number to that slot. I go through the motions as if it's going to do it, but when I returns to the list that slot is back to it's empty state again.

I have recently done a full restore on my phone to clear out a load of the junk that gets left around after installing and uninstalling applications all the time. I wasn't sure if this had something to do with it?

Does anybody know how to solve this? or even where the file is that holds this information?

Thanks

Try calling the number in that "empty" slot and see what it does. Maybe you can edit afterwards from the log list.

I heard that this is a bug in the software. You should've deleted the entry from the speed dial list before deleting the contact.
