Hi
Had the same problem a couple of days ago.
What is the firmware version of your P800 ?
Check how much free internal memory you have on the phone. I've read in this forum that approx 8 mb is ideal. Also, check the "swap" file size on the phone if you have programs like File Manager. The file name is usually something like... "SlopFile.ini"
Then try the following (but not necessarily in this order):
1) Free up internal memory if you don't have enough
2) Try deleting the "SlopFile.ini" and then restarting the phone
Hope this helps...

zahid - There is a dedicated forum for the P800, so you'd be much better off posting in there, as thats where most the P800 owners live. Thats what the forum was created for, so go use it

I don't think thats correct...
I closed "Contacts" using File Manager on my P800 but could still send SMS.

ac - he wasn't saying that closing the contacts app will stop you from sending SMS. He was saying that closing the contacts app caused problems FOR HIM sending SMS.
As his problem was the same as the thread starters, he purely suggested that it would be worth making sure he didn't close it. It may be a firmware problem which only affects certain phones. I know I never had any problems closing the contacts app using tracker, but thats not to say it wouldn't cause problems for others.
Also remember that the problem the thread starter was experiencing was only with certain contacts. You may find you experience the same problems when closing the contacts app, but you don't SMS the people who's contacts it affects.
