Well I've just managed to set up my T610 to receive my university emails through Vodafone GPRS, which I'm pretty chuffed about.

But.. I want to know how much it is charging me to do so.

The email I received was listed as being just under 1kb. So should this only cost me the GPRS rate for 1kb?
OR do I pay for all the data transfer required to find the server and retrieve the email?

In other words do I just pay for the data size of the email, or for all the various transmissions required to find the email in the first place and to pull it off the server?

Because if there is 50kb of data exchange just to retrieve a 1kb email will I be charge for all 50kb?

Thanks

in short yes. sounds messed up but u use 50kb so you pay for 50kb.

or in my case you use 1459344 bytes and pay for 0bytes thats just over 1 meg

Normally you shouldnt worry about the data being transfered during server lookup and such since its very small.. And there should be a log telling you exactly how much was received after every task (in total). This message was posted from a P800
