I just got home with a new T610.

When taking a photo with the camera, there is no option or prompt to save the picture, it immediatly reverts back to the menu screen or title screen !?! Forgive me if i'm doing something totally dumb here, but in the manual it says you get prompted to save the photo u just took....

I did a master reset in an attempt to remove some voda rubbish from the phone, apart from that haven't touched it yet.

Regards

You need to be aware that pushing the joystick down is actually an option button. Take photo, and you'll see you get SEND on the left softkey, then a 3.5" floppy image in the middle, then DISCARD on the right. You need to press the joystick in to save the image.

Thanks, problem is i don't get any of that. Press either 'capture', camera button on side, or joystick in, and it just immediatly goes back to the title screen...

Once you have taken the picture you should have it on the screen and the soft keys should change to send on the left and discard on the right, above the joystick should be a picture of a floppy disk if you do not have this i would take the phone back for a replacement as some one else on the forum had the same fault and that is what they did. I took the phone back to Voda this afternoon. They changed it (although had none in stock so i had to go to another voda shop in nottingham).

On the point about hte vodafone branding, although i would prefer a fresh phone, it's not *that* bad - esspecially when you're only paying £36 for your upgrade and at the end of the day you still have a T610 which does everything any other T610 does...

Try turning bluetooth on or off in the 3 clicks it takes on mine, then tell me that it isn't that bad (1 joystick movement = 1 click too!) Even leaving the branding aside, my major objection with the Voda handsets was their removal of the right shortcut button. Instead it's just another link to Live! ....

streemingfreedom, I think you are not alone in this problem as I this sounds familiar to a previous thread I was involved in...

Apologies for being the millionth person to ask this. But why does the right softkey only go to Live! when there's a buttön on the side of the phone (not to mention most of the menu options) that do the same thing?! This message was posted from a T610

Though the four ways of accessing live! are excessive the button on the right hand side is programmable to what ever you want (mines for esato forums surprisingly enough!!).
