i have been using GPRS on various different mobiles for some time now in fact since GPRS was made available ive been using it, i now have a sep800 and when using opera i connect through my providers Email gprs account and its great i can browse the net send emails etc i even use my p800 as my modem on my pc to go online you may ask why? well the first strange thing is that im on a pay as u go phone so no contract! now for the big on email gprs on paug is not available in my country so for nearly two years ive had free email etc now im not complaining im just wondering how this is possible? when i stick my friends Pay as u go sim in my phone the email doesnt work but mine does and when i put my sim in any email capable phone even when ive no credit i can browse the net, send email etc.. the only thing i cant do is make calls or txt etc... anyone know whats going on?

Can't tell you how exactly but my guess is that on ur SIM certain things are NOT disabled the way they should be.

yea i kinda figured that this is whats happened but im worried that they'll find out about it and ill lose my free acces.. do u think thats possible surly they cant find out as im on a pay as u go phone with no contract so No contract means No liability right??
anyway thanx for reply im gonna just enjoy while i have it, because at current GPRS rates id have to win the lottery to pay for the amount of time ive been online and the amount of Bytes i've downloaded etc...!!!
