i have a msi motherboard that came with a bluetooth equipped bracket thingy that goes into the pci slot. so im wondering is this what you call the msi key? whatever it is im having trouble pairing it with my t68i. i made my t68i discoverable, tried adding a new device in the linked devices section while having my computer search for it but no luck. im running winxp pro. i installed the mobile phone monitor. my firmware for my t68i is R3A023 if it matters. anyone know where i can find newer drivers for my bracket? all the links ive found here dont work. if this has been covered before then sorry because i didnt find anything when searching the forums. thanks =D
oh ya dont try telling me to do a search. i know this is my first post but ive been comming here for about a year now and have solved countless problems by visiting this site. i always visit the forums but this particular problem is starting to piss me off so i decided to make my first post =) please dont flame me =\

the msi key is the usb thingy that allows a non bluetooth pc connect to a bluetooth computer.
yours isnt the msi key i have the same mobo but without BT compatability the kt3/kt4 ultra??
the new drivers can be downloaded from the msi website at
www.msi.com.tw if i remember rightly. or there is and auto update thing that came with your mobo on a cd it will autorun jus follow the on screen instructions. i cant help you any more than that sorry. hope it helps any way

ya my mobo came with just the bracket and not the usb key. i installed the 12. whatever .15 drivers and it wont discover my phone. the auto update doesnt work for the BT and i cant find the newest ones (ends with .16 i think) at their site. i appreciate your help.

i think the mobo only comes with a special header, not the BT module itself, which is an
optional add-on (MSI 6968):

the d bracket is
NOT a Bluetooth device, it it a tool for determining problems through LED lights without having to open up your computer chassis.
The BT device is a separate add-on device

the manual says its bluetooth. it has a big blue sticker on it that says "dont disconnect while using bluetooth." the end of the cable is blue. it plugs into the bluetooth port reserved for the msi bluetooth accessory. i was pretty convinced it was a bluetooth device, guess not

i think thats a sticker over 1 of the usb 2 ports. basicly you cant use that port and :BT: cos they use the same IRQ or summat so it goes gay.
unless u have that big sticky out thing shown in the pic then u wont have :BT:
now the addin card if for the KT3 ultra the KT4 ultra has a built in :BT: chip but if you dont have headers then it won have the chip like mine hasnt got firewire so no firewire chip
