But I got good news for you, if you want I can get you one for about R1950. But why don't you just get a T610 instead it will be officially launched here soon, I should have some available in a week or 2 if you interested. PM me if you want one.

How do you know it will be launched soon. I just bought a T610 last week as I thought it would still be months before it gets launched, and months before it is affordable on an upgrade.....

The SonyEricsson T610 will be launched in S.A in July.I got confirmation from SE South Africa.I am a Vodacom Service Provider Company Dealer and according to VSPC they will be getting all colours.
I am getting the T610 for FREE NO CONTRACT + a sponsored line soon from Vodacom.
The Z1010 will be comming to SOUTH AFRICA in April 2004.

I wanted to buy the P800 now in August, but have been put off as I do not want to get a phone that would be obsolete even before I own it. I just bought a T68i and find it excellent except for the fact that I cannot hear incomming SMS's as you cannot turn up the volume or change the tone. Now I find out it has also seen the best of years... Mabe its better to go back to Nokia??

I contacted the rep from S.E South Africa and he told me the P810 will be available in DEC 03 but it depends if networks APPROVES it or it might never come to South Africa.

Even though Vodacom has said mid July for the T610 (I also confirmed this with them), SonyEricsson has said October at the earliest - due to the initial problems with the phone. Price without contract estimated to be R5000+ .... (I bought one last week in the UK for R3500).
As for the P810, I think it will be released here, but don't hold your breath - we normally only get them at least six months after the rest of the world (on MTN first, then Vodacom two months later)
