Hello Fellow P8'ors.

I have a prob, When i copy from my DSC505v to memory stick duo(done inside camera) to be able to email images off to where-ever, the file are placed in a folder that it D:DCIM\MSDSC100\filename.jpg

Now i cant access this folder from my p800, it seems that all software data and apps are stored several directories down and the file manager that i downloaded can only see the directories that can be seen by the phone and not the true root folder.

Ps: is there anyway to turn off the display of the service provider that appears on the main screen when flip closed , ie only show battery and the time

Pps: i may be dumb but what is Bluejacking (somesort of debaucherous activity using bluetooth to hack into neighbours devices or changeroom cameras?!?)Cheers

the P800 phone does rock, its a pitty it weighs like one too

On blujacking read this thread:

From what I know you can only access the default folders using the P800. So put the pictures in the default folders instead using the USB cradle or any BT device.
If I remember correct you can't remove the logo, it's suppose to be burnt into the sim card if I remember correct.

Thanks for the tip.

The problem is i need to transfer images straifgt from the phone to the camera(on teh job) with no laptop or cradle available.

Surely sony could not have overlooked this very obvious need, when designing for what they call "a connected world".

hehe, "we are all connected" so long as we dont need to plug a sony into another sony device

Go figure. I just hope someone writes an app that gives you access to the root folder of removable memory stick. Cause as it is it just wont do. Sony Ericson.. you have been a naughty manchild!

Hurry up and fix this prob or i am going back to ye old faithfull, using a brick with a note on it, hurled through your inbox smeared with pizza, cheese and usb puppies.

Ahh noooo not the USB puppies
Have you tried File Manager? I think you might be able to use that to access root on memory stick, but I am not sure if this helps...

Easy......

when taking a photo and onto ms duo with ur sony cam, it saves in the folder that you stated above!

use filemanager and select d drive and go to that folder where you stated above. select the photos, move, to c drive, documents, media files, images.

then send a normal email and select your photo.

it works cause i have done it!
