> Where can I buy a T608?
Bookmark topic
Well, SE has unveiled it, SprintPCS plans on including it in their phone product line.... so where is it?
I have a T68i right now, and I'm sure it's a great phone, but I've had it a year and I've been waiting and waiting for AT&T Wireless to expand their GSM/GPRS services to the level of analog/digital in the U.S. I got it for its size, WAP capabilities and Bluetooth, primarily. I also have a Sanyo SprintPCS phone that's cumbersome and has an awkward antenna, but the clarity, rate plans and service areas are un-matched. Now that SprintPCS is taking on the T608 in their product line (first Bluetooth phone they will have, also with JAVA), I really want to stay with SprintPCS if I can get Bluetooth with them. Now, back to my original question:
Where can I purchase a SE T608??

I'm sorry to say that most probably you will not be able to buy the 608 or any other cdma phones on the US market. Check out SEM press releases as of yesterday. However go for a T610. I know for sure that AT&T are building out like crazy and will go for EDGE services in the not too far future. You will also, in the not too far future, have push-to-talk feature in the GSM networks. T610 is a great phone and GSM is gaining ground in the US, so just hang in there. I wish you good look with your choice what ever it will be...

Why? The T608 is made for the U.S. market.

the CDMA phones made until today for the CDMA networks in US will still be available (including T608), just that

will not produce any new phones for this market in the future.
It's not like they will withdraw every single phone from shops in US just because they discontinue the production of CDMA phones for the US market
