I recently upgraded my T68i to the T610... I love the phone but I now notice that the Bluetooth signal is weaker than my T68i. On my T610 I keep getting "lost connection" message and it's driving me nuts... I mean even when I am talking I hear static and I didn't get that w/ my T68i. Any suggestions? Anyone else experiencing this problem? I emailed SE and made them aware of the situation I will post there reply when I get it.

Hi,

I used a HBH-60 with a T610 for a couple of days. The performance was quite poor. Too much crackling/static, voice commands not working at all in the streets/outdoors. In the end I returned the headset.

You could try the HBH-35 when it comes out in your place and in the meantime will also release a firmware upgrade for the T610.

IMHO the ideal situation would be use try out the BT headset, preferably outdoors, before buying it.

I've been using the HBH-35 with my P800 for a couple weeks and the signal quality and clarity have been awesome. I just got a T610 last night and linked up the BT headset - tons of static. So the problem is not with the HBH-35.... I'm going to call SE and see what they say I should do.

I got my T610 a couple of days ago and I have exactly the same problem, crackley sound through my bluetooth headset (HBH-30) quiet and keeps loosing connection! My HBH-30 works great with my T68i

Sounds like yet another design fault within the T610!

Not happy!

I got a replacement T610 today to eliminate the hissing problem. When using it with my HBH-60, sound quality is awful, almost impossible to use, statics, cracking etc. The same headset works excellent with the Nokias 6310i or 8910i - so itīs definitely not the headset. Seems as if SE got another serious problem with the T610. Shame - the phone is great, but for me using a BT headset is essential.

I think if everyone calls SE with the information I forwarded to this post would be great to make this a BIG ISSUE for US. Currently while writing this post SE has me on hold, they are trying to figure a solution. I'll let you know how it goes

I would be very interested to hear what SE have to say/do as I almost bought a HBH-35 today. Can anyone suggest a good BT headset? This message was posted from a T610

Just got my phone back from Celestica (03W17 T610) and the hiss has been fixed. Everything else is great, ringtones are loud, display is bright, blah blah, etc.

However, the damm Bluetooth static we are all experiencing is still there. I actually had mentioned the BT static issue as a problem in the note when I sent it to Celestica and they don't seem to have done anything about it. Either that or it really could be a headset issue. Maybe the way the T610 communicates with BT headsets is different from previous phones including the P800??! I dunno but I know that the Jabra BT200 has less static/noise then the HBH-30 and HBH-60.

I hope this is a firmware fix.
