Does anyone know how to improve ring quality of the T68? I mean despite all the hi-tech stuff, it still sounds like a de-hydrated pig. I dont mean to sound like a grinch but seriously when will we get some 'digital' quality sound in ringtones? As far as I know, the Japanese mobiles (different make & not Ericcson) come with 3d sorround sound ringtones and, say for example, James Bond tone sounds as if it is came directly out of movie.

The MMS upgrade will improve the ringtones, if we're lucky we will have polyphonic tones.

No software upgrade could improve the T68 to bring its ring tones in line with some of the other models availible it just doesn't have the right speaker in there

Well that is in japan! Not here. The polyphonic ringtones are hardware dependant! This post was posted from a T68

trade off of having so many features (colored screen is one of them) is a cheaper speaker. no gsm phone (except one model of philips i think) has polyphonic sound. japan has a world of their own.

Polyphonic ringtones are used by e.g. Alcatel, Panasonic and e.g Nokia 3510 (not out yet),..they are beginning to show,..but still there arent that many phones with these "sounds" yet

Sony have polyphonic ringtones in the J5 and J70 gsm phones which have been available in the uk for a long time now.

What's the difference between a ringtone and Polyphonic ringtones? Also, is there anyway to make the T68 ring louder than a level 6 because I can barely hear it when I am outside and I rely on the vibrating function to know when I have a call.

I don't know if I'd like a "real ringtone" I mean... it's f*cking cool! that's a fact, but you wouldn't know if it was your phone or a radio and it would be quite annoying after a while....

I'm quite happy with the ringtones the way they are at the moment....Call me old-fashioned if you want....
