Recently bought a T610 on Vodafone and paid to have it unlocked so I can use other network SIM cards.

Main problem is that Voda have altered the main screen menu. Instead of the default colour icons shown on SE website or on box, icons are blue, red and grey -- Voda Live! colours. The top middle icon is also Vodafone Live! and cannot be designated to something else, and the right soft-key is obliterated by a huge Voda Live! icon which acts as a fast-short cut (now to my o2 wap homepage because I hand-altered settings, but that's another story...).

Is there any way I can have the original icon and colour-scheme restored, instead of this custom menu? I love the look of original SE T610 menus.

I say yes, 'cause i have had it done.

The pickle is that my friend that did it is one of the guys developing SW for SE. He told me it took him 4 hours to do it.

No amount of ordinary SW flashing will help.

(hey T610- girl with problem on menus voda LIVE) ya know on ya menu with vodafone live colours? have tried a different theme, cos i wanted T610 on P&G orange and it aint out and cos i want this fone so bad l were thinking of going on vodafone?

would ya recommend with your problems?

Just to make on point sure: I also bought a Voda T610 on ebay, from Germany, without knowing that it was customized. Basicilly, getting rid of the customization has been my reason for joining Esato...

I asked a simple question in one of the threads out there:

Let's say that you are in France, where the only SW available is non-Voda.
If you go to a SE Service Point and ask them to flash the device, what will happend?

Haki, in another thread, is the first and only one to answer this question: it works for almost everything.

So, I am going to ask it once more: who else had it done? Please share your experiment.
