I'd like to access my pop box through GPRS, i have tried everything...

even called up o2 to ask them if i needed special settings.

I KNOW my pop3 settings are right, they work fine everywhere else.

Anyone got this working? or can give me IP for "internet APN" to use?

Thank you

You have to contact O2 and ask them to enable the data APN on your account. Remember that this APN often costs more than the wap one and you can only have one APN setup on your account at once so you cannot use the data apn for email and the wap one for wap browsing.

This is ow you do it (after much talking to o2.... lol)

go to main menu > connectivity > data comm > data accounts

you'll probobly only have 2 accounts, depending on what you have set up, for most itwill be o2 GPRS and o2 MMS

so click new account... call it Mobile web

APN = mobile.o2.co.uk
user ID = web
pass = web
DNS address = 193.113.200.200

dont change any of the other settings.....
then set up your mail server as described in the sticky thread and it will work now !! (providing tou connect through the newly created "mobile web" thing

dont know why this hasnt been posted before

GPRS isnt free, its charged based on how much you download and its about 3.70 a meg.
the various pop3 settings are found in the sticky one level up.
those of you who get free gprs on PAYG, thats about to change.
