I use the IStream GPRS service from VoiceStream (United States)
It works fine.
But when I try to use the E-mail function on the T68, I get the message "can't reach server"
Some one told me that VoiceStream does not support POP3 over GPRS. Not sure if that is correct as I CAN reach the mail server if I simply put in the address as a bookmark (but as it is not a WAP site I can't go further)
I have tried the IP address as well as the DNS address in the E-mail setup on the phone.
Suggestions ??

that is correct, you can only use email thorough GSM and not GPRS, search yahoo or gomichaelkgo who has a great description about this

So that means that I have to have a dial-up number to reach my e-mail server ?
My ISP is accessed trough Cable Modem and they do not have any dial-up number.
I guess I'm out of luck then ....

You're not out of luck
VS provides a toll free access number for their non-gprs phones. There is info in the wap/gprs/email setup forum on how to set it up for your t68.

Thanks,
I found the number (913) 244 0821 but I doubt that it is "toll free" but I have a flat minute rate anyway so I guess I don't care.
It works great now !

It IS toll free. I don't have long distance included in my plan, and it always shows up as "web call" on my statement, no long distance.

i can get email on gprs with voicestream - for some reason the DNS doesn't work, so you have to enter the IP address of your mail server instead of the name.
of course, i do enjoy switching between gsm/gprs data now that i found that number

minutes vs data quantity? heh...
