> Accessing imode sites on T610 caused breakdown

Yes,it can access imode sites,but somehow it suddenly went off after having browsed for 5 minutes imode and the only thing appearing now is sandwatch symbol in a light blue background,no response what ever I do.I think Ive read this before here in a topic,anyway either there is a solution in hand,or I take it Monday to SE service,anyhow if anyone knows something,kindly reply.Thanx in advance.

My T610 has done exactly the same about 3 times now. The first time I was trying to access an HTML site. The phone just switched off completely and wouldn't turn back on. I removed the battery and waited a few minutes. It then switched on and had the hourglass on the blue background and did nothing more. I turned it off and on again and fortunatey it booted up ok and was fine.
Since then it's switched off once when I recieved a call and once when I was accessing my e-mail through WAP. Both these times I could switch the phone on again straight away without removing the battery. It still went through the 30 second boot sequence with the hourglass on screen.
Hopefully this is just a minor bug that will be fixed in a future firmware upgrade.

could somebody tell me the difirence between GPRS and I-mode?
I-mode cost here 6€ for 20MB + payment for some sites.
GPRS is 25€ for only 10MB.
now thats worth thinking off in the future

btw- just thinking, if i were to visit an imode site on my t610, and have it replaced by a service centre- would i get a standard phone (my current phone is vodafone live branded)?

I know in Belgium it's much cheaper than in your North neighbours which where I live. Well it maybe cheaper to use in Belgium but we have that the phones are cheaper (sometimes for free) on contract
Imode is deffinetly based on xHTML but also cHTML and iHTML.
If it has a WAP 2.0 browser it supposed to support it.
Maybe when I have the T610 I'll give it a try... we have a lots of un-official (amateur) Imode pages.

xHTML embraced imode.
