Hi Kelvin, another commonly asked question since the T68 came out and the answer is that there is no way to stop that clock.

I think the answer is no. I wanted to do this aswell, but cannot find a way of doing it. I think SE done this to save battery power.
If there is a way of disabling the clock I'd love to hear it!

Hi. There is NO way to get rid of that clock. Its been discussed many many many times before, i think there was even a petition for it but it did not work. Yes, it is to save battery and to avoid burning the screen or something like that. Case closed. Good day :-)

All colour screen mobile do the same, Nokia displays time and Panosonic displays "Panosonic". It saves battery

I succeeded in turning off that clock! There are TWO ways of changing your background and screensaver: via Settings or via My pictures. If I do it the second way, I only see my screensaver, no clock ;-) It's more a bug :-D Afterwards I had some problems reactivating the clock though...
BTW, I'm using a T300.
