> T610 Software or Hardware Problem?

Hi,
I just bought a T610 03w16 and it has a hiss problem. The Software is R1A and the Hardware R2E/R7A Made in China.
Is the hiss problem casued due to a faulty transistor? Or is the problem solved with the next Software release??
What can I do in Switzerland to have this fixed? How long would it take the phone to turn back if i bring it to a SE Center?

The problem is well documented on the website if you just search in the forums.
The problem is hardware related and is to do with several resistors in the top half of the phone. The problem can be solved by a software fix, but if you like me you'll want your hardware to be good and proper.
You said what week number and hardware revision you have well those without the hissing are hardware version R3A (on outside of box) and are generally considered to be built after about week 21 or 22.
Here in the UK most mobile stores have a return policy or, we have been able to send the phones off to a company called Celestica who have replaced the resistors in the phone.
I'm not sure what the situation is where you are in Switzerland. I suggest you return the phone to your place of purchase and tell them about the problem, and see what they can do for you.

it is not important for me to have this fixed in the next days. All I want, is the confirmation, that the hiss problem is solved by a software update. I dont think that I would a a faulty mobile then...if everything would be fine...
Can you or somebody else really confirm me, that the hiss issue is solved (or can be solved) by a software update? When will the next software be out?

Well from what I have heard, yes it the hissing can be fixed by using software i think. However this does involve some hardware element I think as the gain is turned down on the phone.
Some people have reported that the 'quick fix' method can reduce the loudness of the ringtones. A lot of the Carphone Warehouses stock has been taken back by SE and given this solution.
So yes I guess you could get it sorted by software I think but either way I understand that you will be without your phone for sometime.
