Hi,

Proabably the question you would never expect to see in a forum for discussions on mobile phone technology.

But, a friend of mine just mentioned Mountain Dew, which used to be my favourite drink untill it vanished.

I never really thought about it but after doing a little investigation of mine on the net some months ago I came across the result that it is banned in the UK and several other countries.

Can anyone confirm as to why this drink is banned and if its still actually available anywhere in London? or other countries perhaps.

Thanks.

yeah i heard it was banned. its probably because its made from toxic chemicals. hence the greeny yellow colour, and weird taste. plus if you drink too much of it, then you turn green.

Stop being so ignorant!

I myself dont live at home but culturally it IS very acceptable for many people for them to still live at home.

Im Indian and its unusual for a 21 yr old NOT to live at home! As it is with most cultures that are mainly family orientated.

Not every1 chucks out their children@16 (so my parents would say)

OK OK, i'm not meeting people with any concept of light humour here in this thread.
So i'll be serious,
@doliver21, said a couple of posts back that Mountain Dew was banned partly because it had a high content of Methane gas in it. i would like to point out how stupid & uninformed that statement was.
Please dont post silly schoolboy gossip as fact.

Please read why it was withdrawn (NOT BANNED) below;

Mountain Dew used to be available in the UK but it was discontinued. Why? Because it didn't have 55mg of caffeine like the stuff in the US and therefore never got popular!
