Nope, of course not. You think they'd take a second hand phone and give you a brand new one instead?! You could try pleading and offering sexual favours in addition, and you might get lucky - but as far as company policy goes, no way.

You can sell the P800 and buy a SL55 SIM free. You'd probably benefit more this way anyway, possibly coming away with a little cash in hand too. You might even have enough to buy a camera for the phone! (accessory, don't expect to get one with it. Cost about £70-80 i believe).

I do think you'll get incredibly bored with the SL55 quite quickly though, unless all you want is a small phone. But then why did you buy a p8 in the first place!?!

A downgrade? interesting

But hey its your choice. You will be loosing alot of functionality though. I don't however think they'll swap you out, you might have to sell your p800 and then buy the sl55 but that shouldn't be a prob, you'll even have some extra money left considering the price dif of the 2 phones in question.

this isnt an answer, just another question.

as you may or may not know, peugeot copyrighted the '0' in the middle of their car names (206, 306 etc.) which is the reason the Porsche 911 is so named, they wanted to call it the 901, but couldn't.

anyway

Doesn't Mercedes have something to say about the SL55 seeing as that is its leading sports car (I believe) only surpassed by the SL55 AMG?

Got rather confused when seimens released that phone, as pretty as it is.

this is why i want to do it not getting into that discussion here

the reason i think i may be able to do it is that they have a 'buy back' thing for upgrading phones also i remember that last year i upgraded my 6510 to t68i for free the same way, it was only the p800 that i had to pay for at upgrade price

Sounds more like a trade-in to me, seeing as Orange have never offered the 6510. Either way, you'd do far better to sell your P800 on eBay and, if you want the SL55 as your "official" Orange phone, do an upgrade to it mid-contract. You must be mad though...the SL55 is a load of old crap...

Whoaa..slow down....what are you on about?

The Porsche 911 has been called that for donkey's years, the SL55 AMG is the souped up verison of the SL500 (they are not both called the SL55), and i doubt Mercedes gives a rat's arse what Siemens call their phone - not like you're gonna confuse the two is it?

Siemens SL55 pretty? Pretty crap i'd say....
Mercedes SL55 pretty? One of the best i'd say....

Unless there's a debadged SL55 AMG running around there is definitely a standard SL55 (that hasn't been tuned by AMG) available, I saw it yesterday (first one ive seen though, dodge).

And Peugeot definitely copyrighted the zero, i was reading up on the Porsche history during my revision, Pretty interesting, but surprising (about the zero thing, anyway).

And the semen's SL55 is pretty, but crap at the same time.

Thing is, you know how anal these massive companies get with little things such as this, but i guess they could benefit from the free advertising (sort of)
