Just read this:

http://www.infoworld.com/article/03/06/25/HNsonyexitcdma_1.html

It's about how SE will not offer CDMA phones in the US anymore. Hard to imagine service getting better if they're giving up on 1/2 the service providers in the US.

Bummer

I wouldn't worry too much about this. Sprint uses almost exclusivly Samsung and Kyocera (Qualcomm) phones.

I don't think I've ever seen an SE CDMA phone offered.

Besides, with AT&T pushing new customers onto GSM instead of TMDA, I think SE's bizness in the states going up, not down, just not in the CDMA market.

SE may stop producing CDMA handsets. But they are one of the larger CDMA switch makers around.

Well folks,

80% of all wireless phones in the world are GSM. Therefore, the CDMA and TDMA market. Code Division Multiplex Access and Time Division Muliplex Access technology is only a very small market in the World. Mainly available in the US. I am switching from CDMA to GSM pretty soon, because I am not happy with the reception of the provider and I want a phone I can use in many countries.

I didn't even know that SE makes any CDMA / TDMA phones. I think they only makes GSM phone any way. No worries.
