I had a whinge when I bought this phone back in Jan as the midi playback wasnt anywhere near as good as the T300, which apparantly was all due to the midi instruments file of the p800 strangely being smaller than the t300s one. now i have copied a larger midi instrument file into the system drive it sounds terrific. Of course wavs as still better sounding but I have some really lovely midi pieces which are great for using as alarms. Maybe one day we will be able to set mp3 as rings etc

under tips and tricks. use the nokia midi set not the large one as it takes too load before playing each midi track

Yup it gets better though you get a delay. I downloaded the smaller patch so the delay is just 3-5 seconds instead of 10 seconds.

bizarrely some of my midis sounded better with the smaller file than the larger one. If you use midis for your rings you really should do this!!

Id also apprieciate a pointer to a good midi pack to replace the one by default in the P900.
