While reading
this thread from a little earlier I did a little google research and saw a web page that suggested *n# at the begging of the SMS text should also work for Vodafone.
Try it and let us know.

As far as i know there is no command you can enter at the start of a text to get delivery reports on Vodafone. I am on Vodafone, i even called Vodafone to see if they have a prefix and they said 'No'.
The only way to get delivery reports on Vodafone is to get your phone software upgraded, i just upgraded my software at a Vodafone store to R2F and can now receive delivery reports on Vodafone.

So how does the phone do the delivery report when it supports them?
Does it not just add a prefix to the SMS for you?
Whatever it does surely must be reproducible manually?
I have been trying to find my GSM standards manual but can't find it right now. I'm sure it says all about this in there.

Hi guys,
I tried adding the *n# but that did not work. I recently had my software upgraded and there is now an option to switch delivery reports on/off.
STUuk - What is R2F ??
Thanks in advance,

R2F seems to be exactly the same as R2D, may be slight fixes for functions not many people use on the phone!
When the phone has the built in function to request delivery reports, there seems to be a special character sent in the text message, I noticed this after i had my phone upgraded to allow delivery reports. It was like an i but the position was a little lower than the other text, This must be a special character which doesnt exist in the phones usual character set.
