When converting a picture to use as a background/in a theme, how should I go on to make it look as good as possible? Which format should I use, any conversion hints to make the pictures look better on the phone and so on?

I read the "colour palette" tips, but that was about to decrease size without distorting the picture, how do I make the picture as good-looking as possible when converting from digital photo/pic found on net/scanned pic?

I use the Sony Ericsson Image Editor which does a pretty good job IMHO.

Works for P800¸ P802¸ T610¸ T616¸ T618¸ T68¸ T68i¸ T68ie

@masseur: ...and for T300! Yup, Image Editor is the best way, but if you convert manually, keep in mind that GIF looks much better than JPEG at SE phones. This message was posted from a T300
