> Mac OS X + T610 + Bluetooth = Problems !

Hey !
I'm trying to connect my T610 to my mac with a bluetooth dongle.
I can pair the phone, the phone shows up on the list, but at step 4 of 5 in the Bluetooth Setup Assistant I get this error:
"There were no supported services found on your mobile phone."
But my phone has all the services; file transfer, syncing and so on..
Also if I try to browse the device I get the error: "Unable to validate device."
Do I need to set something up in the network settings or... ?
What do I do ?

It definately should work as I use the same set-up and have had no problems whatsoever.
What version of OS X are you using? Get 10.2.6 if you haven't already!
Have you downloaded iSync 1.1 and Bluetooth Support 1.2.1 ? You can download them by running Software Update from System Preferences, or here's the link for iSync 1.1.
They're the versions that support the T610.

I've read that most bluetooth problems can usually be fixed by completely deleting all pairing information from both the phone and the computer, then running the Bluetooth Setup Assistant again.
There's nothing needed in Network settings, until you come to try accessing the internet via your mobile and GPRS.
Any other info you can provide?

When I "add device" in iSync, I get "no device found". But the Bluetooth setup assistant finds my phone, pairs it, and let's me type in the passkey, which I then have to type on my phone too. So there is a connection for sure.
But it seems that the program (bt setup assistant) does not find any supported services on the phone. And when I try to "browse device" or "send file" from the topbar menu, I get "unable to validate device". I can see the device but I cannot access it...
And I can't access (or browse) my mac from the phone either, even though the mac shows up on the phone if I do a search...

I just did "Add device" again in iSync and mine also says "No device found", even though my phone is already added... (maybe that's why). I was tempted to delete the device and try re-adding it, but thought I'd better not.
Have you got Salling Clicker? Does that successfully connect?
Have you tried sending a file to the phone (jpg, gif or mid)?
I'm just clutching at straws now, as I don't really know what else to suggest.

completely erase isync using this Apple tool, and reinstall.
I had troubles with my old 7650, a phone firmware update did the trick...

I have been using My T610 with Mac Os X 10.2.6 with no problems at all, that is with buletooth file exchange and ISync. I am able to browse my phone and send files without any problem.

I often find with my T610, when I get the 'Unable to Validate Device' message I press connect IMMEDIATELY AGAIN and it seems to work fine.

Do you see the BT icon at the top right when you connect your dongle?
I would suggest that you look at your BT settings on your T610. Maybe you can try sending a file from the phone to the Mac.

It turned out to be the dongle.
The dongle supports Object Push, Dial-up networking and file transfer, but only file transfer with a Nokia 7650. Not knowing much about bluetooth (or dongles) I bought it on eBay thinking that all dongles would work when plugged in, but I guess not..
So, I've ordred a new one which should support everything (hopefully!).
