Ok, here I go again...
I've just downloaded Ogg player.
Also downloaded dbpoweramp to convert the mp3's...
Unfortunately i aint got a clue how to convert the files over. Do I convert them to wav files??? I tried to find the option to convert to Ogg - but it aint there (if this is a stupid question, sorry. But i did do a search on here and there isnt a thread that explains how to do this)
Thanks

Cheers Craig.
I downloaded all the relevant software and managed to convert a couple of files.
But, I did find that both of the files once converted to Ogg were double the size of the original mp3!
EG. 1 mp3 was 2.99mb - once converted to Ogg it was 4.41mb
Hmmmmmmmmm???
Any sugestions folks?

it depends on what settings you chose for the ogg file.
setting 2 seems to give pretty good results with a smaller file size.
check out
http://www.vorbis.com for an explanation of what the settings actually mean.
what setting are you using ?

Craig when you say "setting 2" do you mean the quality setting?
I checked out that link you sent me, and went into the FAQ section - As I suspected it was all double dutch to me at 1st, but I read and re-read and finally began to understand... But after all that I could not locate any section that explained the settings.
I'm just about to lower the quality setting to 2 and see if that works.
Fingers crossed.

I think the file size is related to the bitrate at which you encode the files. Lower this and the file size gets smaller. :-D
