The T68 has it's own 256 colour palette so when you convert a nice sharp gif either to 256 colour web-safe or into MyPictures it tends to choose nearest colour. This usually distorts the colour unless you choose ordered dither which keeps the colours closer to the original but the picture is grainy. There was an earlier post about enhancing the image in photoshop (which I don't have). Does any one have a method of keeping the images sharp as well as being in the T68 palette. So far when I have downloaded backgrounds with WAP (particularly flesh tones) I have geen very disappoited. Thanks.

Have you tried to upload your images to Esato. We use the T68 colour pallete in the compressed versions of the uploaded image.

This is the test sample I created. Upload it to you T68, you will have the full 256 coloured dots

Download the above to open in MyPicture. Click on dither color, you will notice that none of the dots change colour

Best way is to first make your picture in whatever program you usually make it. Then open it in MyPictures and do a color dither and it looks perfect in your phone.
