Hi, I recently setup my T610 with Freeserve email (using GSM Data + Freeserve Local Rate #). I can send and receive text emails fine. But as soon as I attach a picture from "My Pictures" The sending attachment counter get's to about 1-2k, stops moving, then about 30 seconds later I get Send Failed.

Why is it doing this?

Usually because there is a max file size limit on transfer IIRC.

An easier way would be to send the pic via an MMS message to an email address.

Regards,

Phil.

I tried to send an email with attaching 2 pictures from my T610. It dint say the message was failed, but when i checked it later, the e-mail came in as blank, without the 2 pictures i doono wht happened.

I just did this before entering the SE Service center as i handed over my phone to them for checking the BT Static. I just hope i dont loose those 2 pictures as they were important for me:(

Now im waiting to get my hands on it again to check if i did something wrong or its a bug in the phone.

BTW we dont have MMS in dubai, so i had to rely on email tht time:(

It doesn't matter which email package you use - the size limit will be set by your service provider.

Sure, my point was simply that changing to a yahoo account is unlikley to fix this particular problem.

Hi guys, I've tried both a Freeserve and Tiscali account, and they both refuse to send

I already have a Yahoo account, what are the settings for it, and can I use it over O2 GSM WAP?

settings for yahoo pop3 are

protocol - pop3
incoming server - 216.136.173.10
incoming port - 110
mailbox - username
password - your password
outgoing server - 216.136.173.12
outgoing port - 25
email address - your email address

this works for me using o2 wap gsm yes.
you have to enable 'yahoo delivers' via your yahoo account on the web though (its free dont worry)
let me know if it works for ya mate.
