since the mods here don't want me posting questions that could lead to competition or something maybe i can ask this questions - my t300 is not able to directly download mid/midi files (i made a page to try and download it w/ the phone). i have to assume i must use MMS to send it to the phone - how can i do that?

I don't get the bit about the mods but if your question relates to getting midis onto you T300 then why not just transfer them from a pc using IR or cable? If you don't have a pc get a mate with a pc to help you.

LOL omg sry guys i had 2 windows open in 2 forums here and couldn't find my post! i've had posts deleted from other *nameless* forums because they didn't want people in their forum posting their own ringtones/etc... in competition w/their site. sry bout that
anyways - i unfortunately don't have the cable yet so i'm trying to find a way to download the stuff from my site. North, how did you dl the midi file - was it a direct link to a mid file? or sent through an MMS message to you?
so far these are the MIME types i've found:Code:Plain WML documents text/vnd.wap.wml .wml
Wireless Bitmap Images image/vnd.wap.wbmp .wbmp
Compiled WML documents application/vnd.wap.wmlc .wmlc
WMLScripts text/vnd.wap.wmlscript .wmls
Compiled WML Scripts application/vnd.wap.wmlscriptc .wmlsc
emelodies text/x-melody .emy
Ericsson Melodies text/x-vmel .mel
I haven't found the right MIME type for *.thm files yet - anyone?
I tried downloading directly from a .mid file link but i got the error "Unsupported Content-Type: audio/midi" - can anyone tell me what i'm doin wrong?
thanks guys!

OK, someone in here have said they could download midi directly w/ their t300 and i can't, so i'm thinkin maybe it's my firmware version? i got the t300 the second it came out. i checked my phone browser's headers:Code:[accept]application-/vnd.wap.wmlc, application/vnd.wap.wbxml,
application/vnd-wap.wmlscrptc, application/xhtml+xml,
application/vnd.wap.xhtml+xml application/vnd.wap.mms-message,

*/* = anything. The T300 accepts everything (not quite true), but that's what this string means.
audio/midi = midi
