> T610 Java problems

Yesterday I uploaded some Java utilities from midlet.org, like some translators, a Streetfighter game and Webviewer 3.0. First of all, when I send a *.jad file to the phone, it says that the operation has failed, but still says that it's saved in Games and more. But when I look in Games and more there is no such file present. Where did it go??
With one translator, when I start it, it just loads and suddenly says that there isn't enough memory to load it. And all the other applications or the Streetfighter game just give an error that they can't load.
Another thing is Webviewer 3.0. It starts normally (also I can't see Webviewer.jad, so I start Webviewer.jar) but when I put in a URL, it just says 'waiting for reply' and does nothing. I can browse WAP normally.
Can anyone help me out here?

You don't need to upload the .jad files to the phone. The T610 doesn't use them. You need to send the .jar file to the phone to install it.
As for your other problems..are the midlets designed for the T610, because if they aren't then they may not work. Java on mobile phones is not the universal programming language it was originally deisgned as. Most phones have their own implementations of Java, which means that generic apps may not work as expected.

i have installed and ran Webviewer 3 successfully. In order for it to work, the current WAP profile must be using an APN that has internet access. If the WAP profile with internet access is not the current one, make it current before using Webviewer.

Too bad that we can't use any other Java applications then the ones designed for the T610. Well, I guess very soon there will be some more cause I noticed that really alot of people have the phone already.
About Webviewer, my Wap profile for surfing the internet is always the default profile. But it's not GPRS (don't want to use that, it's too expensive, my WAP just counts as calling minutes at my provider) is that the problem then?? Can you only use Webviewer with GPRS??

to set up the t610 to use web viewer you need to go into the bottom left icon called connectivity
then into wap options
then wap profiles the one you are using will have a dot in the box next to it use the right button saying edit then go into connect using and see if you have a option for internet in there.
dont forget to change it back when using the wap or you may get a large unexpected bill

Ahaaaa, it works!!!!!! Thanks alot Slattery!!!! I never thought of that, cause I have a T-Mobile wap profile and a T-Mobile data account with which I can visit all wap pages without any problems. But I also have a free internet account at Zonnet, which I'd put in my data accounts for sending and receiving emails. When I changed my T-Mobile profile to connect through that Zonnet account (and not the T-Mobile account) it finally worked.
Thanks for pointing me that out, cause I already gave up hope.
