I have a problem with a low speaker in my phone...

Can this problem be solved by a firmware update?

So I am wonderring if I get my phone updated and the speaker becomes louder will the hissing problem return?

I had a w19 r2e with exactly the same problem - now I have a w23 r3b - which is much louder.
Hasn't that anything to do with firmware? Or is it just becuase he has got a new phone?

They did change some phones with software changes but we still cannot say whether or not future upgrades will affect it.

I have a 03W22 T610 (R3A) and I think my call volume at the loudest is definitely not as loud as my T68i or R520m. I doubt they turned down the speaker volume because ringtones play through the same physical speaker and software as voices during a call. My ringtones are extremely loud! So loud that at full volume, some of the more complex ringtones make the phone vibrate it's playing them so loud!
My guess is it's something that can be fixed in a firmware upgrade when it comes since it seems more of a software setting. Also, I was thinking about how big of a problem this really is...
Anywhere you are using this phone where at the highest volume you can't hear the other person.....you shouldn't be on the phone in the first place

I have a W21 and I don't have it at the loudest volume, cause it really hurts my ears then. But 1 level lower is actually a bit too low.

It's just the way the phone is. I think the problem with any new phone that comes out is that people try and find "bugs and/or issues" that really aren't there.
The hissing was a real bug, the BT static seems to be a real bug...this volume thing is not. There are plenty of other phones out there that don't have very loud volume during calls and no one thinks that's a bug.
