I have a p800 that does not want to boot up. It comes up the SE logo and just sits there...and sits there. The backlight stays on and will eventually drain the battery after a period of time (I have done this a few times). I have tried all sorts of techniques from attempting to load the service menu (which it will not do) to attempting a restore (again, unsucessful). Has this happened to anyone else? or am I just a poor, unfortunate soul?
I can send it back to SE and have them take care of it, but I would prefer to tackle it myself, unless, of course, i can't.
cheers,
mongo

i'd take it back to the store and have it replaced there and then.

Standard problem I believe with R1D software - is that what you had?
Mine did this about a week ago and I read that R2F would fix it (and at the same time default the phone of course). Luckily I had a back up so I upgraded to R2F at The Carphone Warehouse and then restored my back up without a problem.
R2F has several improvements too.
