Found this while surfin another BB
http://premierdns1.co.uk/~talkinghoruk/329/remote.html
Quote: Sonyericsson T610 flashing. This service will remove the customisation from T610 handsets, eg. Vodafone 'live' etc. Please download the latest unbranded flash file from here and the flashing software from here. Make your payment and we will email you the login details for the server. A T28 data cable is required for this service. The cable supplied with the phone will not work. T28 data cables can be supplied at a cost of £7 including postage if required.
Found another site which is marginally cheaper.
http://www.faceoffmobiles.com/sonyerict610flashinglogs.htm
Not affiliated in any way etc. Just looked like what we have been looking for.
P.S. Hello everyone, found this board a few weeks ago when i got the T610

yeah, nick at mobilexchange has just completed this, much to the celebrations of all us Voda users, i really hate Voda now.
but, the more people that can do this, the better. I can't see how Vodafone thought this would be a good idea!

Whoever this "nick" guy is, you make it sound like he invented the whole idea. He didn't. These guys did:
www.sonyericssonserver.com
They are the only supplier of T610 logs and it's these logs which everyone else is reselling.

What is the case when the owner of one of these "transformed" LIVE units wishes to have his phone upgraded to the next firmware versions that will be coming out regularly? What will happen if he visits an authorized SE center like for the upgrades, like all of us SE customers are accustomed to doing? Will they deny an upgrade, or will they flash it with a LIVE version of the uprgaded firmware since the "tranformation" does leave traces of its LIVE origin and they can easily detect the origin of the device?

@haki, I don't think the people at the SE service centres will mind if you've got a branded software version.

I think that you did not get my point. I said that if you present to an SE center a "live" phone with a "non-live" software and you ask for an upgrade, what will they flash it with? I am afraid that either the stupid Voda icons will return, or you will get no upgrades for as long as you own the phone.

@haki, I don't think you got my answer :-D I think the people at SE service points don't care about all this Live-shit and just upgrade with a clean version. Do you think they've got different firmware versions (branded/unbranded)?! Naaah ;-)

I hope you are right! Even though I have flashed my LIVE phone with the plain firmware at on official SE point in Greece, I was informed yesterday that SE has instructed them to flash LIVE phones with LIVE software that they will release very soon. That's why I am a little upset. Thanks for your replies anyway!!!
