I'm going to upgrade my p800 and want to save my calendar, adress book, and the calls list (send, received and lost).

I know the file for calendar and adresses, but not the call list.. anyone know??

And.... if you know the same for SMS and MMS etc.. would be perfect!

Thanks a lot..

PS: I don't want to do a full backup... I want a master reset and have that information only...

the calllist sits in the Phone section.
where you can see your speed dilas.
bottom left corner there are two tabs, click on the second and you have a full list on outgoing incoming and missed calls.

@GoR2002

Could you let me know which files are used for calendar/addresses, and definitely if you find out which file is used for the call list. The app I'm developing needs this info, so if I can get direct access to the file and it is readable then this would be ideal!

Are the calendar & address files readable, or is it compressed garbage to the human eye?

Cheers.

@julianmclean
Contacts database is stored in c:\System\data\contacts.cdb
My guess is that you just copy this. But I can't imagine you'd being able to replace this since it's being used the second the phone is switched on. And you can't remove used files, just like in a computer.

Cheers for the info - I don't actually want to change any of this data (although maybe GoR2002 does) but just be able to read it. It's the call list file I'm really after - I'll have to have another look round the phone...

@julianmclean
Check the .cbd and .cdb files in c:\system\data
Should be stored there.

Ok, getting somewhere now - found a file called CallLog.dat which sounds suspiciously like the one I am after (and the .dat extension hopefully means it is uncompressed!?). I can't copy this file though as it keeps complaining it is in use. I presume this is by the phone application which cannot be stopped! I'm just trying to install jText again to see if I can read it directly - any other ideas?

Check .ini files for directions. Since they usually have links in them which tells what goes where and how.

I don't really know much of the phone, but it's so like a computer. So my guesses are as good as yours... and uhm something else.
This thread http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=30362&forum=35 what happened to it? I am interrested in the tariff. And I am not sure how to implement our prefixes to it.

@Lordmike

Yeah sorry haven't replied yet, I've been away for 2 weeks - will write a reply to your post soon when I get myself sorted and will try to start development on the app again.
