> T310 Bug!?
Bookmark topic
Hi Folks!
I think I've a bug on my T310...but I want to know is there are more people having the same problem as I get....maybe it's only my phone...but as I said, it could be a bug.
The thing is, from time to time, my phone plays the sms alert signal, and when I look the "new sms"...there is nothing! I mean...NOTHING AT ALL. There is not sign about any new messages. Everything else looks ok, I mean my old messages are there.
It's very, VERY annoying, because I don't know why my phone plays the sms alert signal. It's maybe a message that I get...but that I don't see...and that worry me...because I don't want to miss the message people send to me.
This thing has happen at least 7 times since I bought the phone 3 months ago, but it could be more times since I do not always hear the signal when I get a message, specially if I'm out in a crowded place.
Any one having the same problem? Or any one who know why the sms alert signal is played without showing any new message?
regards
JuanK

Are you sure you don't have delivery reports turned on ??
This is the only way I can imagine the new message sound plays without a new message actually arriving.
I've had it a few times recently where I've sent a text, and it hasn't been delivered for a couple of hours. I get the new message sound expecting a reply, but nothing, but all it is is the phone telling you the message has been delivered.

My best idea would also be some old delivery reports...

Yes...it looks like "ghost-sms"... =(
No, I don't have the delivery report activated.
Before, I thought it could be because I had activated the "Area Info" and the "Cell Information" but I did deactivate that and even so I still getting those "ghost-sms".
