Are there other users that uses the mail client in the T610 and really hate that it can't recieve attachments... ?
I am one,,, are there more.. write your own post. .maybe SE devs can implement it when they see that there are many people wanting it
Here is an idea, when sending and recieving messages... it can download the message header and text.. and if the mail has an attachment, there should be a option to download the attachments..
clicking on the morelist button and having a choice "Attachments" Enterign that menu it shows as a list of attachments with a checkbox on each attachment.. and the attachments that are not "readable" by the phone can be disabled. .Then when you choose the attachment you hit the download buttons. .and they are automatically saved in righ place

I guess the only attachments that would be useful are ones that the phone supports (pics, sound etc) but since there are a multitude of ways to get these to the phone already (wap, IR, BT etc etc) I don't think I am too fussed about not having the attachment ability but if it was there I would probably use it from time to time.

regarding wieving email attachments on the T610...i have read the specs and spoke with SE support, the T610 does only show you what kind of attachment there is to the email ie. "manual.pfd" IT IS NOT POSSIBLE to wiew any attachments or read them on the phone, my guess is it is due ti only 1MB of memory.
My experience with the T610....the best phone ever....if anyone need to read attachments go for the SE P800.........

was the mail addressed to a pop3 email server?if so attachments cant be viewed, but on the other hand i was successful in sending a .jpg to a t610 using the service proivider's email addy (1234567890@tmomail.net)

I know, I have both bluetooth and ir on my computer.. I have no problem sending pictures and stuff to the phone..
But when I get mails with images, I would like to view them on the phone.. I don't want to wait hours till I get home and look in my email program..

Concerning the attachments on email: I've noticed that my T610 will show an attachment there, the size and type of the attchment, but i can't view it. The weird thing is that the size of the email in the inbox seems to be very large, like the attachment has been downloaded to the phone but stored in a secret place, some where i can't get it.

Yeah... my phone (not a T610 btw) will actually, after opening the email, call in to my email provider again, download the attachment ( it shows downloading... x kb) and then it stops, does NOT hang up and does not show the attachment either. when I disconnect the email is the same size it was before tho, not extra big.
If the email function would support attachments, we wouldn't need MMS at all, would we?? (so maybe that's your answer right there!)
